The marriage relationship can be a beautiful thing that brings joy and happiness over a lifetime. However, many local marriages are strained due to infidelity, financial pressures, and the stresses of life in this place. We are so thankful to have opportunities to share the value and beauty of marriage when Christ is at the center!
—Pray for the redemption of individuals that will lead to the restoration of marriages and families through the power of Christ.
—Pray for team marriages that reflect the hope, grace, and forgiveness of Our Father.
—Pray for opportunities for us to minister to married couples and families.
“Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:1-2
A parking lot at a local park is dotted with random mature trees throughout the entire area. It does not take long to figure out that the sprawling grove of trees was there long before the pavement. The builders chose to keep the trees while utilizing as much space for parking as possible. The result is a parking lot where the driver is forced to be alert as one must zig and zag toward the exit to avoid the tall obstacles. In much the same way, we ask for wisdom as God surveys hearts. We praise Him–that He knows what to remove and what to work around–making our pasts part of the new landscape.
We believe a team that plays together, stays together! We have been so blessed to have such an incredible team of people to work together with, but we know our enemy would like nothing better than to cause disunity among us. So please pray for us, that we would always assume the best of one another, that we would choose to cling to truth and not allow any lies of deceit to take root, and that we would always fight for the health of our team! Pray that those around us will know we are His because we love one another! (John 13:35)
The weather has warmed up, and the kids have been playing Saturday morning soccer. The coach on the left in the photo is one of our former university students that many of you have prayed for…his name is George. He does an excellent job coaching, and we have enjoyed the opportunity to stay connected with him even though he has graduated from university. He has attended a Community of Faith small group gathering at our home, and we are praying that God would continue to draw George to Himself!
