This year the Lord has opened doors to an exciting new aspect of ministry: leadership development. There are five local members of the first cohort that launched this spring and they meet weekly with Team Green coaches. Mentoring relationships are much more common in the US than here–this is a very new idea and unknown territory that has led to deeper conversations and relationships.In addition to the weekly one-on-one sessions, there are quarterly seminars where the entire cohort gathers together for a presentation on leadership from an expert in the field. Recently, we gathered for dinner at a local restaurant and enjoyed learning about leadership styles from a pastor that was visiting from the US. The whiteboard was covered with diagrams and illustrations about leadership and the resulting dialogue was helpful for each of the attendees. Our latest guest is a judge in Ohio, and he shared his expertise on decision making.Pray that God continues to open hearts and use this leadership development ministry in the lives of our network of relationships here!
