I have come to appreciate the true meaning behind the phrase “pencil it in” these days! I am one who likes to make a plan, put that plan on the calendar, and wait with expectation for it to occur. However, this tiny virus seems to keep spoiling my plans! As I crossed off our Youth Family Picnic that had to be canceled and put a big question mark over the start up date of our new fall courses at our Center I felt very discouraged. I know the truth of God’s promise, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) BUT some days are easier than others to find comfort in that truth. I am once again reminded to hold it loosely, and know He is in control and I can trust Him!
***Praise update: The Center is slated to open as scheduled this week!

Thank you for those reflections on penciling things into our schedules. As we head into the fall here I am hearing rumblings of “we may have to close back down” and wondering if that flight is actually going to take place.
Your thoughts on this area of your ministry are a personal blessing to me.
I continue to regularly pray for you all.
