A parking lot at a local park is dotted with random mature trees throughout the entire area. It does not take long to figure out that the sprawling grove of trees was  there long before the pavement. The builders chose to keep the trees while utilizing as much space for parking as possible. The result is a parking lot where the driver is forced to be alert as one must zig and zag toward the exit to avoid the tall obstacles. In much the same way, we ask for wisdom as God surveys hearts. We praise Him–that He knows what to remove and what to work around–making our pasts part of the new landscape.
