Our city is full of graffiti, a powerful art form used to express one’s thoughts and feelings. This mural displays the harsh reality facing children who live on the streets here. As the weather gets warmer we encounter more and more kids begging, and it breaks our hearts knowing they truly do not have a choice. In fact, they will not even receive the money they collect. Please pray that our community can find ways to meet the needs of these children and show them His love.

How well I remember children around the world, as Jim and I travelled;
Begging for food! But I was shocked at babies and preschoolers left on the sidewalks where you live with notes asking for money. There should be a law…. it just broke my heart! Are there any Christians in government to stop children under 6 from being used in this way?

It is heartbreaking! We aren’t sure about the current legislation, but we do feel like we are seeing fewer extremely young children on the streets. NGO’s like the one placing these “ads” also seem to be stepping in to help.

Blessings as you help these children to hear of Jesus Love and have homes.🙏

Who does receive the money?

Typically adults who organize the begging, and may or may not be related to the children.
