This week is the first week back to school for my three kids! On Day #1 back, I got this email:
hello
I’m school doctor Nino. teacher brought Anna in my office, she hit head at the table. Anna had little bump and bruise at her forehead, I put an ice pack for 15 min. As she was feeling fine, had no headache, dizziness, I let her go back to class. I just want you to know about this incident sincerely Dr. Nino
In broken English, she did well explaining what happened to Anna’s head. Anna is fine! This is an example of countless ways God is watching our little ones. I bring them to a mini-bus every morning and watch them drive into the city traffic, wondering how this is okay?! ? Part of our journey this year, as a team, is a deeper Trust in God. For me, a lot of this is about trusting Him with my children–for their safety, for their social and emotional well-being, and with their hearts. One way He has asked us to give up control is to pray to Him and to share our burdens with Him. He can carry it all so much better than we can.
Today, would you pray for the nine children represented on Team Green? They have all started back into the drama and stresses of school. We are all so thankful for the education that is here, but it is a daily release to trust what God is doing with these lives – in the middle of living in an overseas context!

Praying for all the children of Team Green. School can be stressful enough in one’s home environment! And then add to it in an overseas context! Be remembering all of you on the trust issue too. It is hard to release our precious ones to others and trust God to take care of everyone!

Those are decisions we all must make….. private schools, public schools, boarding schools, home school….. how well I remember when moving every ten years as God directed. Jeremiah 33:3. Became my life verse early on….. “call upon me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you know not of.” He is faithful in all things when we give those decisions to Him!

Praying for your kids and for you. Schooling is such a challenge. Watching our kids grow is a challenge. Then, watching our grandkids grow keeps the cycle going!

Thanks so much for your updates. We read them, but don’t often reply back. Your post struck a chord with me–Trust! It is so hard to trust our children (no matter how old) to God’s provision and care of them. Seeing our daughter go through breast cancer and treatment last year was yet another time to deepen trust in our loving God. We pray for you daily. You’re not forgotten. May God bless you every day, in every way.

Thank you for serving our Lord. Quite often I do bring the children to the Lord for protection in every area of their lives. I am a retired public school teacher which I guess is why I think of the children. Praying you all will be able to release them to Him each day. It must be very difficult in a different culture. God Bless. NJJ
