Prayer Point: Crossroads

Have you ever felt that you were at a crossroads in life where you knew that the direction you chose would have a huge impact on you?  Recently, I was hiking up a mountain trail and stopped to take a picture of this sign. While there, I prayed through all of the upcoming major decisions.

As I sat there praying, my mind was brought to our team’s children and the decisions that they will need to make over the next couple of years. This summer our team will have our first two high school graduates (with three more graduates the following year.)  This crossroad event is huge for a teenager, but especially as our children return back to the United States with the rest family staying here overseas.

Psalm 31:14-15a says, “But I am trusting you, O LORD, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands.”  Please pray for our families as we move through this new stage of life, and pray for these children as they go down new paths.  Pray that they would follow closely after God and trust Him for their future.

I often think of the separation of the family from their children and how hard that must be. I will be praying re this. I remember the students who were separated from their families back then in the 60’s. I’m dating myself!

  3. Amen and Amen!

  4. Praying with and for you! When our daughter moved many states away for college, to a place where she knew no one, I took comfort in Psalm 139 and the truth that God would be with her no matter where she was. “He’s got this” was my daily reminder to myself.

  5. It is a huge step for the kids and for the parents who remain there. We went through that (about 100 years ago) when we were in Latin America . Our kids are now in their 40s but God was and is still so faithful. He provided people in our home state that took an interest in our kids and even drove them to appointments, etc. when necessary. I am sure the same will be true for your families also.

  6. YES! Keep us in the loop so we can pray when those times are approaching.
