Soaking in _________.

Our little country boasts both mountains and the sea. Recently, I had the chance to stick my toes in the sand for a few days and soak in the sights and sounds that come with being seaside. What we “soak” ourselves in matters, and is reflected in every aspect of our lives. Let’s spend time reflecting on what we’re filling ourselves with, and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in making changes as needed.

“…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.” Philippians 4:8

    Praise the Lord for these excellent verses. I love reciting them by memory. They are favorites of mine.

  4. How true this is. In a world that seems “upside down” filled with fear, worry, uncertainty, and anger, to focus on these things will lead to depression, anxiety, fear, and ultimately hopelessness.
    Our God is a God of hope however. When we had no ability to rescue ourselves, God sent His Son to give us hope and to reconcile us!
    Indeed the gospel is so relevant in the midst of our crazy world.
