At one of our recent outreach events with a group of International students we discussed the power of words. We shared how the words people say to us or about us become words we choose to believe, and because we believe them, we begin to act according to them, and then often end up speaking similar words over others in our lives. The students were challenged as they thought through the words they have chosen to believe, that in turn have impacted the choices they have made in their lives. What words have been spoken over you that you have chosen to believe?

For a long time something that stuck with me was not complimentary . Because of my thick glasses, I was called four-eyes in elementary school.
Just this week I had the opportunity to play the organ again at church (shut down because of Covid) One comment was “you are so gifted and a blessing” which reminded me that our Lord blessed me with this talent. I am so thankful for parents that saw this and sacrificed for me to be able study music.
