Take a minute to look at this picture. What do you see? It’s crazy–right? A tree growing horizontally with branches growing out of it–vertically!
I feel like the past several months have been full of the unexpected (bad and good), and it has felt disorienting in many ways. I’ve asked God a lot of questions, and some days I’ve just struggled. One reminder that the Holy Spirit keeps giving me is that God knew what His children would be facing in 2020, and if we look closely, we can even see how He was preparing us. So, I’m taking it one day at a time, thankful that God gave us a way to approach the future and the unexpected. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Such a great picture of your lives and ours. And the reminder that that tree fell over a long time ago…and God knew this a long time ago! Praying for new opportunities to see His hand, provision and grace as you all reach out. God is never restricted!

Thank you for this excellent reminder that He is in control even when things look dark and confusing.

This is a beautiful example of how God works, isn’t it? Expect the unexpected I think. Praying for you and your team. May you be blessed during this time and into the future.

You are not alone! I keep reminding myself of this very verse! On top of Covid, riots, masks etc, my husband had a hip replacement! Grandkids are struggling with virus- school at home, separation issues. I feel like the tree! Knocked over but still growing. So thankful for peace that passes all understanding.
