Living in an apartment building makes it challenging to get to know our neighbors. Most people are out at work or school all day, then come home and close their doors behind them and donβt really engage in relationships outside their own apartments. We have found one of the best ways to get our neighbors to open their doors and get to know us is by bringing them fresh baked cookies over the holidays. Many reciprocate the gesture and bring us special local holiday treats and express their gratitude that we took the time to reach out to them. Please pray it will lead to more opportunities of them opening their doors to us so we can share with them the hope we have.

The treats look so good — worth the price of a ticket to come over there and try them out for myself. If only I could… well done you guys for feeding people something special. I have found that it works very well too as a way of opening up the way to friendship. May that be the result for you all.

On opportunities to share Christ’s love: A friend who attends our church was stuck behind a garbage truck as she came home at the end of the day. She was impatient. Then she asked God to redeem the time. She got out of her car and gave each of the garbage men a bottle of water. They asked why she was being so kind. Her response was that she had been enslaved by drugs and sin, but then she received the living water that changed her life. She told them that she hoped they would find that same water for their lives.
